The shrine associated with Guru Arjan Dev Ji is traditionally described as being without a dome, while the shrine dedicated to Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji is distinguished by its domed structure. Sikh historical accounts record that Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji visited Nankana Sahib in 1613, while returning from Kashmir.
